These photos show the progression of the magnificent 2012 Olympic Stadium and the surrounding area.
Orbit
The Arcelor Mittal Orbit, designed by award-winning architect Amish Kapoor, stands next to the Olympic Stadium and is one of the UK's largest sculptures. It proved a major, successful attraction at London 2012.
Other Photos
London's Olympic Park was transformed and these photos show how facilities such as the warm-up tracks were completed. The Olympic Rings at St Pancras International station were a constant reminder leading up to the Games.
